Design Challenge | What If Teleportation Was Possible?
One Day Whiteboard Challenge
Project Overview
The Problem
There is a new technology that allows you to teleport anywhere you want. Design a new app and service to solve some of problems.
1. Teleportation app can send users to any place.
2. Need to have a freemium model (first 3 teleportations are for free)
How would you trigger users being hooked on our app and want to teleport more?
3. The App should be designed in a way it’s impossible to make safety errors for a user.
4. User should know how the weather conditions as well good practices of location.

Whiteboard Challenge
As a result of the 1.5-hour whiteboard challenge, I understood my goal, defined my target audience, understood the context and needs of the users, and produced a basic user flow.
I am sharing all the results of this challenge below. Text in bold shows the outputs I am focusing on.
Why? (understanding goal)
-Users can easily travel to destinations without having time loss.
-Users don’t know where to travel.
-Users have dangerous situations in the places which they are travel.
-User have limited use ( 3 times ) to try this product. Than they need to pay for other uses.
-Users need basic info about where they travel.
-User can discover new places with nearly no effort & time.
Who? (defining the audience)
Business Person – Work Related Travel
Vacation Trip – For having leisure time & cultural trip
Family Trip – like visiting relative
Relocation – to moving to new city & apartment
With Who
Themselves
With Families
With Friends
With Partners
When/Where? (understanding the context and needs of the users)
-When they have overwhelmed and need vacation
-When they are want to see new places to visit. Suchlike the city they want to see.
-When they see some place in any media and they want to be in there.
-When they are not happy with the weather. suchlike they are hot now and want be more warm weather.
-When they want to be calm. suchlike a place to meditate, pray, sleep, walk etc.
-When they are angry and anxious and want to leave where they are.
-When they want to get some specific item which is related to specific location. suchlike a tropical fruit which you can buy only in a country.
Solution (User Flow)
UI Design
Using the artificial intelligence program Midjourney, which creates images from textual descriptions, I produced images with the keywords teleport, beam, light. After a few iterations, I continued to produce new images using the prominent colors. As a result, these were the 3 main visuals I reached. So I identified my 3 primary colors that might be related to the teleport.
Home Page
On the homepage, there is a search bar where you can find the locations you can go to and a map showing your current location. You can also access top locations and safe trip guides.
Location Selection
After searching for a location or tapping it on the map, the user can see the street view of the selected location and the amount of credit she/he has.
If the user chooses a location where it is not possible to teleport, she/he encounters a button where she/he can get information about why she/he can’t teleport.
Location Information
The user can instantly view the weather, time, guides and basic information about the country and location to be teleported before the trip.
Confirmation
In the last confirmation step, the user can see the amount of credit she/he has and the amount of credit that will remain after the trip. If she/he wants, she/he can get credit with pre-payment for her/his next trips.
Summary
After the teleport, the user sees a summary page where she/he can access all the information she/he saw in the previous steps.
